These knobs are designed to fit factory radios in all applications with the factory console.
If your radio is not equipped with a fader, you will need to use the original plastic knob support. These knobs can be used in non-console applications, but they will stick out about 3/8 of an inch farther than the original non-console knobs. Did you know that most ’68 Cougars came with a console? From what we have seen at the shows, it looks like most Mustangs had one as well.
